Bike The Drive benefits the work of the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving bicycling in Chicagoland.
There are a lot of new things going on for the 2008 Bank of America Bike the Drive.
New digs
Our festival will move to Butler Field in Grant Park, home of the Petrillo Music Shell; and our start location will now be on Jackson Street east of Columbus Drive.
Rocking festival
We welcome the famous Beatles tribute band, American English, to our festival stage from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Goose Island Brew Pub will offer a choice of three delicious breakfast options for just $7.
Getting the goods
There’s no need to attend a packet pick up – participants will receive their rider/helmet numbers, ride guide and T-shirt coupon in the mail prior to the event (sign-up before May 14). To receive event T-shirts, participants may redeem the coupon at the event festival.
Cool jerseys
We’re selling a special 2008 Bank of America Bike the Drive jersey and other bicycling clothing. All proceeds benefit the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, so you can look stylish while supporting walking, bicycling and transit in Chicagoland.
Wearing your rider and helmet numbers
Our photographers will be taking shots of your ride, and the numbers will help you check out photos of you, your family and friends after the event.
The Bank of America Bike the Drive would not be possible without the support of hundreds of volunteers, the Mayor's Office of Special Events, and the following organizations:
